The lesser-known colleague of Shabeer and Jeeva from their SBI Mysore team, 29-year-old Suresu is diminutive but as handy as them on the turf. This raider too rose from the ranks in Tamil Nadu’s kabaddi culture, starting off from Diamond Star club, then to Sun Paper Mills club and most importantly to SBI Mysore team, where his game grew manifold.
Kumar is a graduate in Arts, and has devoted a decade to playing kabaddi right after his graduation. He hails from Erode, a town 400 kilometres from Chennai, on the banks of the Kaveri. He is a simple Tamilian when it comes to food habits, but has admitted to recently have indulged in the meats and seafood of Mumbai.
“Training this season has been great. My body is fit and I am feeling confident.”
